Grace marks awarded to 1,563 NEET candidates will be cancelled: GoI to SC

New Delhi: The decision to award grace marks to 1,563 candidates of NEET-UG, 2024 by NTA has been withdrawn, the government of India told the Supreme Court on Thursday. These students will have an opportunity to appear for a re-test, it added.

The 1,563 students who received grace marks will have the option to retake the exam on June 23. These students will be informed of their original scores without the grace marks and can choose to sit for the re-examination.

Students who opt not to retake the exam will have their results based on the May 5 examination.

The results of the re-test will be announced on June 30, with counselling for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other courses starting on July 6, as informed by the center to the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court stated that all petitions, including those requesting the cancellation of NEET-UG 2024 due to alleged malpractices, will be addressed on July 8.
